How to play this size comparison game
Compare real objects on one shared scale. Each question gives you a fixed reference; your task is to judge the size of the other object. Play for free in your browser. The question pool includes animals, everyday objects, vehicles, buildings, and planets.
- Read the measurement.
Check the dimension named in the question and note the fixed reference size.
- Resize the target.
Drag its outline or handle, use the slider, or tap the adjustment buttons until the two objects look right together.
- Reveal and continue.
Lock in your guess, compare it with the actual size and score, then open the source or move to the next question.
Common questions
What does “size” mean in each question?
The question names the dimension being compared, such as height, length, width, diameter, or wingspan. Read that label before resizing the target. If a source publishes a range, the result shows both boundaries instead of pretending there is one exact size.
Does zooming the canvas change my guess?
No. Zoom, pan, and Fit both only change your view. Drag the target, move the answer slider, or use its adjustment buttons to change your estimate.
How is my score calculated?
Each question is worth up to 100 points. We divide the smaller of your estimate and the actual size by the larger, multiply by 100, and round. Guessing half or twice the actual size earns 50 points. A guess inside a published range earns 100; outside it, the nearest boundary is used.
When does the daily challenge change?
Everyone gets the same five comparisons for a UTC date. A new set begins at midnight UTC. After finishing, you can play another five-question round in Practice or revisit a published date in the Archive. Replaying does not replace your first completed daily score.
Where is my progress saved?
Your current round, daily results, and best practice score stay in this browser when storage is available. There is no account or cross-device sync. If browser storage is blocked or cleared, those records cannot be restored.
Where do the measurements come from?
We built this size comparison game around named measurements and linked sources. After each answer, open View source & measurement to check both objects’ measurements and definitions. The silhouettes help you compare the named dimension; other proportions may be simplified. If you find a problem, tell us which comparison you saw.
